USAID Health Workforce Improvement Program in Ethiopia
Jhpiego is a strategic partner with The Network: Towards Unity For Health.
Please see the first newsletter of the USAID Health Workforce Improvement Program (HWIP) in Ethiopia. In this edition, they highlight key findings of four studies conducted by HWIP focusing on health worker motivation and retention, clinical skills attainment of medical students, clinical competence of nurse educators and impact of national licensing examination on quality of pre-service education. Jhpiego sincerely hope the insights from these studies will move you to strengthen the health workforce planning, education, development and management work you are doing.
The goal of the USAID Health Workforce Improvement Program is to support the Government of Ethiopia’s efforts to build a better skilled and better managed health workforce and accelerate progress towards universal health coverage and other health sustainable development goal targets.
